About the event
In this comprehensive beginner's course you will learn the basic skills of crochet and gain confidence to create your own fabulous pieces. Session 1: January 10th
Get to know your hook!
The hardest part of crochet is becoming comfortable with holding and working the hook. In this 1st session you will find your way of holding the hook, tensioning the yarn and creating slip stitches and double crochet stitches.

Session 3: January 24th
Working in the round
Working in the round is so easy to get wrong, but once you've learned the maths (sorry, but it is true) it is easy to put right. Today you will learn how to create a simple circle
Take home: a coaster or re-usable make up remover pad
Session 4: January 31st
Following a pattern
Following on from last week, today we will be creating a piece by reading a pattern. Learning how patterns are written and what different abbreviations and symbols mean.
