About the event
In this comprehensive beginner's course you will learn the basic skills of crochet and gain confidence to create your own fabulous pieces. Over 4 weeks you will learn how to hold and manipulate the hook, create the basic stitches which are the foundation of all projects, make squares, work in the round and read patterns.
Session 1: Get to know your hook!
The hardest part of crochet is becoming comfortable with holding and working the hook. In this 1st session you will find your way of holding the hook, tensioning the yarn and creating slip stitches and double crochet stitches.
Take home: a lavender stem (or 2)
Session 2: Learn the stitches
In this session you will learn the treble crochet stitch and how to create an iconic granny square.
