- Learn to crochet 1:1
Are you looking for a craft that will help you unwind from the stresses and strains of daily life? Crochet is the perfect craft to help you switch off and lose yourself in the rhythm of your craft. Donna will teach you the basic stitches of crochet, giving you the opportunity to learn your own way of holding hook and yarn and getting comfortable with the process of crochet. Classes will be held at your own pace, you may have an end product to take home - you may not! Some people find that 1 hour is enough for their first session; if so, you may defer your second hour for a later date - this can be discussed on the day. The cost includes the use of hook and yarn. Should you choose to purchase anything from the shop on the day of your class you will receive a 15% discount. Please read the CLASSES POLICY before booking.

Open to all, this is a safe space to share your love of knitting, crochet or other yarn crafts. We are happy to share help, advice and support with your patterns and projects. Bring along your own refreshments if you choose or, if you smile nicely, I might be persuaded to put on the kettle and open the biscuit barrel/cake tin x Cost: voluntary contribution towards refreshments and running costs

- Crochet Club
An opportunity for young people to socialise with like minded peers. Join us for crochet and chat every Saturday morning. Donna (enhanced DBS available on request) will be available to help develop crochet skills but this is not a suitable group for teaching - absolute beginners should book a lesson before attending. Refreshments provided. Hooks can be borrowed and some yarns available but attendees should bring along their own projects. *Please note that Donna may have to serve customers so cannot guarantee constant presence with group
- Introduction to Needle felting 1:1
Needlefelting Come along and learn the basic skills of the surprisingly simple and satisfying craft of needle felting. Needle felting is fast growing in popularity and that is hardly surprising considering you can make any 3d shape your imagination can bring to life. Needle felting is the process of agitating yarn to create a solid piece In this workshop you will be learning the art of dry felting - agitating the yarn with barbed needles to form a solid piece that can be moulded and manipulated in any way you choose. In this class, Donna will introduce you to the basic skills of needle felting; teaching you the process step by step and sharing some easy mistakes to avoid - learned through experience! You will learn to needle felt a simple shape and be given time to experiment too. Ticket price includes use of materials and tuition. If you'd like to continue at home, needle felting kits will be available to purchase at a 10% discount. *VEGAN yarn options are available. I can't wait for you to join me in my calm little corner of Newbury to learn this satisfying skill. ABILITY LEVEL: Suitable for beginners, if you can poke with a needle, you can needle felt. - Arm Knitting Taster 1:1
Arm Knitting Have you ever wanted to have a go at arm knitting but been put off by the expense? Here is an opportunity to try out a new skill before deciding to pay for the yarn. Learn how to arm knit yourself a super snuggly blanket for this autumn and winter! Have a go at arm knitting without needles, quick and simple, arm knitting is a super satisfying craft and great fun too. This is a taster session, so for just £15 you can choose from bio-nylon or merino yarns to learn the basic skills of arm knitting. If you would like to take away a completed piece you can purchase yarn during the workshop. Arm knitting is a knitting technique using jumbo yarn to create beatifully soft, weighty throws or blankets to keep you warm and cosy throughout autumn and winter. You can also use the techniques learned to arm knit yourself a scarf, cushion or rug. During this class, I will also introduce you to the technique of arm crochet, producing similar items to arm knitting; arm crochet is less taxing on the arms and can be picked up and put down during the process.
