About the event

Have you always wanted to learn how to knit socks but think they may be too complicated? In this workshop, Adite will teach you all the skills you need to knit adult-sized socks on magic loop. You will learn a new technique each week on one sock and can choose whether to make the pair as homework or wait until the completion of the course. By the end of the third session you will have completed at least one sock and will have the confidence and skills to create its pair.

Session 1: Cast on, cuff ribbing and leg

Session 2: Heel flap, heel turn and gusset

Session 3: Foot and toe decreases (Kitchener Stitch)

The workshop price includes all materials you need to create a pair of adult sized socks including: a simple sock pattern, a set of circular needles, a darning needle, stitch markers and a progress keeper and 100g of DK sock yarn - other yarns are available for an additional charge. Skill level: If you can cast on, knit, purl and decrease you can knit a sock! This course is not suitable for beginners to knitting.

Tutor: Adite Nair

The workshop runs over three weeks from 1.30 to 3.30 pm and you need to be available to attend each of the three sessions.

The workshop is held at Brown Paper Loves, Inch's Yard, Newbury

Price includes all materials, tuition and refreshments - please advise of any dietary requirements at by Thursday 19th January.

Course dates are 21 January, 28 January and 4 February - you need to be available to attend all three events.
